I have a couple of these SFP+ modules and have used them between my Mikrotik CRS305-1G-4S+IN and the Netgear AX12 (RAX120) router which negotiates a speed of 5 Gbit/s. I tried to use it with my QNAP QNA-T310G1S (Thunderbolt to SFP+ Adapter) but it couldn't even establish a 1Gbps connection, at least 10Gbps. Where I see an issue with this product is stability with cable type and length. In my opinion it is better to keep the cable length as short as possible and as high as possible. This works quite well in the laboratory or at home. However, if you really need to rely on your network, dual-axis cable or fiber optic transceivers are a more mature option.
