Beautiful needles, pleasant to the touch. The white "ink" of the needle size on the carbon fiber shafts wears off, but the etched US sizes on the brass base don't seem to wear off. The ends seem to have a good balance: sharp enough to tie knots but blunt enough that you don't separate the yarn too often, and they're very smooth. The carbon rods hold the yarn with just enough friction so that all of the stitches don't come loose from the needle, but not so much that it's difficult to move the stitches around if you want to. The cords are light but feel strong. ***UPDATED 12/28/2018. Since the purchase, I have sewn a shawl, a scarf and a baby blanket with detailed patterns, as well as a sweater. I'm currently looking for a 'special' set of 3.5" circular needles and a pair of double knitting needles. These spokes feel nice and work great. Preparing to buy more seemed like the best confirmation, so an update .
