Spark Plug Tube Gaskets I'm sure it's ok but the only way to remove the old ones is to cut them out with a hole saw. Serious. I broke the valve cover pretty badly trying to get them out but found they are cast into the valve cover. Nissan has developed valve covers that can be replaced as a whole when spark plug tube seals are leaking. Luckily, valve covers are very affordable for both the OEM and aftermarket. Seriously, if you need to make valve cover gaskets on a Nissan VQ engine, just get the entire valve cover and gasket set as a kit and save yourself the trouble of having to replace the pipe gaskets.
