A favorite food for our favorite wild birds! We fed a high quality songbird mix which attracted many birds but unfortunately was also a favorite of starlings, bullocks and crows. These hooligan birds would eat us outside and at home, running away from all the more desirable birds. We have switched to these golden safflower seeds and also supply black oil sunflower seeds (in protein resistant feeds) and the switch has worked wonders. The hooligan birds disappeared almost immediately once we removed the mixture of lard and songbirds. No more starlings, cowbirds or crows! But now MANY goldfinches, titmice, woodpeckers, cardinals, thrushes, buntings, titmice etc. are back happily feeding at our bird feeders. Robins, sparrows and pigeons will eat anything that falls under them, as will squirrels. This food is high quality and worth the money.
