In general everything is fine. They have good beam distribution. It doesn't need much power and is bright enough. In fact, I was surprised at how bright. At first glance they appear to be well made, but I broke four of the twelve just by tightening them with my finger. There is no key. just my fingers The other four were fine. It looks like the threaded stem is just glued into the rim of the lantern body. Something stronger is recommended for joining the two pieces of metal together. Better yet, make them out of a single piece of metal. Given its fragility, I have to deduct two stars. I really like them for their light output and beam, but the part where they break isn't very attractive. So in general I'm neutral towards them. I did the job because I had too much. Without the extras I would be very annoyed. It should be noted that they get very hot unless they are built into something metallic to dissipate the heat. The outdoor light housing is 130-190F depending on the voltage. After being installed in my truck's metal rear bumper, they stay cool, reaching around 75F. Some measured specifications: 0.24 A at 14.7 volts. Outside temperature: 190F! 0.15A at 12.0 volts. Outside temperature: 130F. 90 degree polar pattern.
