I bought this to upgrade my computer to 802.11ac for use in my home office. Unfortunately, the adapter is very unreliable and connection or connectivity issues often occur. When it connects to a 5GHz network, I get 802.11ac speeds, which is incredibly fast for anyone using the legacy protocol. However, the lack of a stable connection, dropped connections and general unreliability of the connection rendered them unusable. Other reviewers have noted that this is not suitable for Windows 10. While it is true that the drivers do not install on Windows 10 and the company's drivers are not supported for Windows 10, the Windows 10 adapter is plug and play - it recognizes it and works fine when connected. Well, I can't say for sure to what extent my connection problems are related to missing drivers. But I will note that I bought an alternative adapter with a large antenna that works fine on Windows 10 without special driver installation.)
