I have a Volvo Penta 350 GXI-F in my 2006 Chaparral 256. My engine was doing nothing when I was preparing it for the first dive. Season. After checking the batteries, my next stop was the starter motor. Since that's about 1/6 the price of a new OEM part, I didn't hesitate. Works like clockwork so far! Of course I couldn't move 2 bolts so the only boat mechanic I ever went to had it installed. He had to use a special socket and impact wrench to loosen one screw, which he sharpened to fit because the flywheel housing hits the starter, and a flashlight had to be used for the other.
