I was "a little" (no pun intended) on the size of this #13216 mandrel/retractable pilot that accepts or holds adjacent 3/8" dual burners in a blister pack . It is smaller in diameter than a pencil and only about two inches long, like a very small drill. However, I thought it was much larger than it actually was, which is neither here nor there in my opinion. After a few expired bits, I actually found it was very... and I mean very, difficult to get the bits off the threaded shank. Bit with a pair of vices. The threads are standard right-hand threads, so there should be no doubt that it would be possible to remove the bit with a left-hand movement. Every time I've removed a bat it's the same. This is due to the correct thread direction. Bit rotates when spot welds are removed. Understandable, but they actually twist in place, e.g. See my review in the Dual End Spot Welding Cutters - 3/8" - 3pcs section for a discussion of bits. That way you can put the whole picture together. As for the beats. Well, see.
