These protectors are easy to put on and adjust to my shoes. Be careful when lifting the floors as this will not remove the paint. I haven't had this problem. I heat them up once the handle is on and squeeze with my finger. Be careful if you heat too hot or it will bubble and fizz. I use toenail clippers because they are thick. I only came in once but I held up well and I think it will be a good defender. I'm a bit concerned if I tear off the original grip due to heat it will affect the design of the shoe, it can just add another grip a second later if it's more worn or try to take off an already worn pair to to see if the pattern stays on shoes. The time will show. But great price for a big roll. Works well across the width. Good protection and easy to use. I have to protect my work!
