Received this lens today and was pleased to test it with my old Canon 85mm f1.8 lens. This is by no means a complete review, but here are some of my observations: - Focus Speed: Both were surprisingly similar in speed! In fact, I found the Rokinon to be a hair's breadth faster. - Focus Accuracy: Both were very accurate on my 5D IV bodies without calibration. - Focus Noise: The Rokinon had an annoying clicking sound as soon as it was focused. It's much louder than a Canon lens. Sharpness: The Canon lens was significantly sharper than the Rokinon at BOTH settings at f1.8. The Rokinon was disappointingly soft across the entire image, even in the center. - CA: Both lenses suffer from what is very normal, but the Rokinon was much worse than the Canon lens, even down to f1.8. - Manual focus correction: Rokinon NOT offers this function, which is very important for me as a photographer. Of course, Rokinon offers weather protection and Canon doesn't, but I never used this feature because my camera bodies aren't weatherproof anyway. , I will keep my Canon lens and try the Sigma Art as a possible alternative.
