This simple and inexpensive remote control was purchased to replace a relative's lost remote control in a care home. Nice size and fairly large buttons make it easier for the elderly to use. I programmed it for a 10 year old Sanyo TV and it only took a few minutes to set it up using the code lookup method. All features related to the TV work as expected. According to the instructions, it can also be programmed for other devices such as DVD players or satellite receivers, but I doubt that all the functions of a special remote control are available for these devices.
