Firstly, although it may be advertised as an "educational toy" and like all model kits it is just as good for adults making it a great rainy day project The parts are easy to separate and reassembly is fairly easy following the instructions, with the occasional typo or translation error easy to understand. The parts are quite thick for the price you pay, so you don't have to worry about them breaking during assembly. Take your time collecting it, although this toy will look great on a shelf as a display, especially if you color it. Sure, it won't survive a fall or vertical climb unscathed once it's done, but it moves over smooth, hard terrain like pavement and rides over bumps quite well, making this a more comfortable model than a static plastic hobbyist. It would be nice if it also came with brushes and a paint set in "official colors" but it's a budget model kit and it's more about the assembly than the finished product and has a technical look to it. when it is finished as the parts will be laser burned with the parts and not what you get from the plastic model and decals. It would also be nice if it came with a few parts sheets but then again this is a budget model and not designed for heavy use like a toy. At the time of review there are four models in this set (Curiosity, Hermes, Spirit Rovers and Lunar Rover) and if you are looking for a Christmas present for a family of three or four I would recommend the whole set without hesitation.
