I needed a router to make some grooves and splices on a Lowe's Pine whiteboard for a cabinet project. Honestly, this is about the softest wood you can buy. When the Amana cutter was used for the first time, the shaft of the cutter broke and the bearings were destroyed. Luckily I wasn't hurt in any way. It could be a lot worse. I looked at other reviews and saw similar results here and there. After this near miss I will never buy anything from the Amana tool again. I've never had a router that did this from any other brand. Stay away from it.!
