My furry little one just needed a safe place to leave him a few times a month when I have to leave the house for doctor appointments etc and/or when I take him to the vet. He is a purebred Yorkie, weighs 7.5 pounds and is 10 inches from shoulder to tail. I bought a 19 inch two door. He has no room to grow (and no room for temptation to go potty- good for keeping him up to date on potty training as dogs don't go potty where they lie unless they will left for too long and have no choice). He's 6 months old so I'm hoping he doesn't get much bigger. If so, then I will cross this bridge. All edges are smooth and safely rounded. It's a black powder coat finish that looks nice and hopefully won't rust or crack (we'll see). The bottom tray snaps into place and pulls out for easy cleaning. It has a lift and latch door, if your fur baby is smart enough to figure out how to slide the latch, the door still needs to be lifted a little to open. It comes with a divider and attached carry handle. It's very light and easy to carry even when my dog is inside.
