2006 Toyota Tundra. Akebono pads replaced. Akebono pads are my favorite pads, but they only lasted when the truck was empty. With a load or when towing, they just couldn't stop the truck. 3 years later I bought Hawk Performance LTS pads. After a day of driving and sleeping, they are impressive. Simply double the stopping power for a given pedal pressure compared to Akebono pads. The Akebono were very good in that they didn't produce dust - I didn't expect that from them - you have to do without something. Since they are semi-metal I believe (the packaging mentions a ferrite compound) they work better after heating. When cold, they are at least as good as Akebono, i.e. not as dramatic as some other pads. Yes they are a bit pricey compared to other offerings but I am very happy with them.
