Here are some of my wife's observations. I am delighted with the gift of these new knives and block from my husband. The knives are heavy but not too heavy for me to use easily. And they are HOT! I like that the knives are made from a single piece of metal so I don't have to worry about the handle falling apart over the years. And the embossed metal hammer seems to be just such a texture so the knives don't slip out of my wet hands. I use kitchen scissors all the time and they don't disappoint. They are sharp and durable. And having a ready-to-use sharpener in a block is a great feature. Now there is no excuse for dull knives in my kitchen. Overall I think this is fantastic value for a great set of knives, some sharp scissors and a nice piece of wood.
