Great sound but with a few obvious flaws.

First off I just want to say that despite the issues I am having, I will continue to use this product. In short, I like the button layout and the Apt-X support with the inclusion of an officially licensed Qualcomm chipset. The last key I had sounded pretty good, but it's amazing how much better my stereo sound got. I was about to replace my speakers and head unit but after trying this unit I'm just sticking with it. The call quality is definitely acceptable. It's much clearer than my car's built-in system, but it adds a little extra noise to the call. Similarly, when the air conditioner is running at a higher speed, noise will be picked up by the microphone. Just to be clear, the unit is mounted a few inches from the vents and shouldn't be picked up by the mic in my opinion. Neither of these issues exist with my standard audio system, but despite these shortcomings I am happier with the quality of the A2 than my standard system as I hear it better over road noise. As for the cons, there are a few cons. things to consider. The first, although subjective, is voice alerts. They have pretty bad voices, and it's a pity they don't have the option to use different "beep/boop/beep" sound effects instead. Other than that, it doesn't bother me personally as I find the voice acting quite hilarious. The second is installation. I haven't had it long enough to see if it can withstand heavy use, but pressing the buttons seems to put a lot of pressure on the edges, which is beyond the reach of the ring of double-sided tape they include. I think it will get better with time, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • boring packaging
