Solid purchase! - Car Accessories

Love it. I've tried a few others and this one beats them as it has no grounding issues, no volume issues from ringer to music (various tests) and doesn't feel cheap. It comes with additional adhesive padding and clips to hide the cables. iPhone integration works, microphone is clean and working, latency is perfect, auto-pairing is no problem. If needed, just make sure you have a USB car power adapter. Finally, the light isn't too bright, just enough to find in the dark.

Not bad at all in automotive and automotive electronics

For some reason my 2009 Genesis sedan won't pair reliably with my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I hear my phone ring in my pocket, but the device doesn't display anything. I also couldn't make a call by voice command. This solved the first problem and added streaming music to my machine. I can even use it to select tracks and pause my phone. The voice quality in both directions is very good. I still can't make a voice call with the steering wheel remote control and the music quality could be better…

  • GOLS certification
Cons

Nice build, easy setup

Upgraded from Bluetooth 4.1 device to this 4.2 with AptX. I couldn't feel the difference in sound quality between the two with my iPhone X. I was hoping for something closer to the quality I get when using my device's extra port and it's not quite what you want. You can hear the difference between them. more digital artifacts in the music, especially at high frequencies, and too dirty at low frequencies. However, the build quality is good and the buttons don't feel as cheap as many other…

  • Great for me
Cons
  • So far so good

Excellent call quality, no more street noise.

Bought to replace an old SB360 Bluetooth module, good but communication quality depends on a lot of background noise. In the end I decided I needed a device with better communication quality. People I talk to regularly tell me they can't figure out what I'm driving. This seems to rival the connection quality of latest generation automotive systems. Music playback is fine, I mostly listen to audio books so I don't really need super high fidelity. My old one was good so this one can only be…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Great compact design with all the buttons I need.

Thing works great. Exactly what I was looking for and a better solution than other Bluetooth adapters I've used. I can install it next to the stereo for easy access for me and the passenger, just one wire for the input and power (which are in the same place in my car) so that's great. Attachments for the device are available - a cord. And when I turn on the car, it just connects. The main feature that I missed before was easy access to the "Previous" and "Next" buttons. Next comes the phone's…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Does what is advertised. My phone confirms aptx support.

In general, it was very difficult to find the right BT -> Aux device for my car. Especially if most of them contain a battery, which is undesirable in a car, where the device is constantly connected to the network and can have high temperatures. That fits the bill. It streams decent BT music. Compared to the slightly more expensive BT portable DAC, which also has aptx support, the SoundTek A2's sound is a bit inferior (especially the base), but that's okay. You plug it in and your phone…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good for music, bad for calls

Music sounds great, but whenever you get a call (or when Siri talks for more than a few seconds), the volume slowly increases on its own until it stops . So it sounds great for the first few seconds of a call (or Siri) and then gradually gets louder and louder until it gets "too loud" when the audio starts to distort (clipping). Restarting a call or stopping and starting Siri resets the volume. As a result, the sound quality for calls is very poor, but for music it is really good. I followed…

Pros
  • That's amazing
Cons
  • Hard to say

The only device that fully meets all my audio needs

I have used several of these devices including previous versions of this device and this particular A1+ model finally meets my specific needs! I'm excited. The main thing is that the only HD codec this device supports is AAC. This is perfect for me because I use Youtube Music which also uses AAC compression. Listening tests have shown minimal loss of fidelity when re-transcoding AAC compared to other codecs. While I have no way of properly performing a double-blind test, I would like to be…

Great sound but with a few obvious flaws.

First off I just want to say that despite the issues I am having, I will continue to use this product. In short, I like the button layout and the Apt-X support with the inclusion of an officially licensed Qualcomm chipset. The last key I had sounded pretty good, but it's amazing how much better my stereo sound got. I was about to replace my speakers and head unit but after trying this unit I'm just sticking with it. The call quality is definitely acceptable. It's much clearer than my car's…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • boring packaging
