Big upgrade if you use a square cone bottom brake. I can't tell you everything that "attached" this crank to my bike; from speed to efficiency. I believe this set can also be used with the 1x transmission. The best upgrade I've ever bought! Just two concerns. First, the sprocket creaked a bit when first installed. (At first I thought it was the tightening of the bolts between the sprocket and the crank; that's where they fit properly. Just continued to lubricate the bolts where the sprocket connects to the crank. The relief is almost gone). Second, there is play in the bottom bracket. (When I say "play" I mean a fraction of a millimeter at most. I don't feel it while driving. It doesn't affect anything I've noticed in 300+ miles.)
