Bought a 55 inch Samsung UN55D6050 LED TV and was concerned that some Samsung 55 inch TVs were 'claiming' that the TV -installation should only be completed by their paths - an overpriced cable and handle set that reminds me of a picture hanging on the wall. The '6050's mounting holes are recessed into a small indentation on the back of the TV, they are not flush with the back of the TV. a large selection of M4, M5, M6 and M8 screws of various lengths, along with hard plastic standoffs which I used to fill in the recess so the Peerless mount would touch the recessed mounting holes in the TV structure without touching the back of the TV case itself, that's just tin. The 55" Samsung uses M8 bolts and I added two 1/4" washers so the bolts would grip the threads and then do 3 full turns in the threads as instructed by Peerless. Without washers/washers, the M8 bolts will hook into the threads in the holes and make about 5 full turns before going all the way down. The only thing that can ruin your day is over-tightening those screws and screwing them all the way into the mounting hole, which is a recipe for screen shattering. This TV is mounted on a wall with the drywall removed temporarily so I was able to add a couple of 2x4s and make sure the Peerless main horizontal brace is attached to something solid.
