Nice tight fit. in External accessories
They give you an extra very small Phillips machine screw that fits (obviously), but they don't tell you the directions. I have a 2008 Silverado. You need to place the u-adaptor in the location shown (inside the tail cowl) and then use the larger hex head screw to get through the tailgate. After you kick out the little screw you should be fine.
