I had to guess what size drill bit to use for the pilot hole. For 5/16-18 I needed 15/32 which I don't have to be honest. 7/16 was too small for red oak and split the wood. Make sure you try the stakes in the crowbar before use. A drill guide would help! Once installed they did a great job.
- β€ 3. EASY TO USE - These threaded inserts are very easy to install, just pre-drill a suitable hole and then screw it into the hole with the Allen key provided! Note: The hole diameter needs to be enlarged accordingly because furniture wood is very hard.
