Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance and Preserve with BuzzyWaxx Original Blend - The Ultimate Seasoning for Cast Iron and Carbon Steel by Brian Micheals

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's good, but it's not magic and it has an attractive scent.

I bought BuzzyWaxx to spice up some carbon steel pans. If you've never done this, there are plenty of videos and tricks out there, but in my trial and error of doing this more than once to get a really smooth result with fully non-stick surfaces, I'd say you've probably done this multiple times and make sure you don't rush the process. This jar of BuzzyWaxx will likely fit 20 or more pots (probably more). The trick is to use quite a bit, wipe out the pan, heat it when it has absorbed the oil (beads), wipe it down and keep warm. An open fire or stove works best. Don't try to season this in a pan on a glass-topped stove, or your results won't be as consistent. If your pan looks like the picture I've attached, that's just a good start. Remember, non-stick doesn't mean you don't have to use any lube. I've made my pan perfect for frying eggs by always using the oil in the pan first (it fills the microcracks in the steel) and then adding what I really wanted to cook with (I use the oil) and then it works great . I actually had to repeat the process on a pan when I was in a hurry to use it and literally messed up the pan so much I had to use steel wool to clean it. When you do this, you essentially start with the seasoning for that pan. Final tip: If you want the PERFECT pan, watch some videos on "polishing" the inside (or buy one of the brands that comes pre-polished). before trying to flavor it. Good luck and happy cooking!
