Aside from being better suited to any countertop than any container of wipes straight off the store shelf or from a medical supply company, I wondered if removing the sticker from the top was still an issue to remove. There were issues with the adhesive remaining on the product and it was a nightmare to remove and NOBODY wants that. Prepared for the worst and armed with 91% alcohol, WD-40 and Goo Gone, none of which I use wanted, I bought 2 Spectrum containers, one for the kitchen (satin nickel) and one for my bedroom (black). I'm happy to say that the label on the Satin Nickel came off fairly easily, it took a bit of work on the black but eventually both came off without destroying the labels (who cares) and left no marks of glue on the product (all worries). Inside each container is a square paper with assembly instructions. I used the back to stick the label on as I removed it from each container. As you can see from my photos, both are fully intact. The bottom one was from a black container and you can see where the edge is more curled from trying to get a good backing to pull it off. With the first (Satin Nickel) there were no problems at all. Technique: Use your fingernail to gently peel off an edge and rock it back and forth until you lift the label just enough to grab it. Then slowly peel off, not pulling up but constantly pulling back so it stays fairly flat. Not pulling up or pulling off in one slow, steady motion is the best way to avoid tearing it off in the process. That way you're leaning back and doing it slowly enough to be able to dodge when the piece of glue is about to be left behind. No one wanted to be left behind for me other than running a black container. On what was beginning to peel off, the glue tried to stay. So, still using my fingernail, I scraped the adhesive off the jar lid to keep it on the label and shifted my efforts to the other side of the label edge to start over. When I found a spot where the glue wasn't trying to stick, I was able to slowly peel it off with no problem, and when I got to the last spot where I originally started and where the glue was trying to stick, it came off easily off without leaving a trace of glue. At least that's how it works with newly purchased containers. The company may have improved the label adhesive since the early reviews came out with major sticker issues. SATIN NICKEL. What I wanted to know, and the ad doesn't say anything, is whether its "Satin Nickel" finish would match all the other black and brushed stainless steel items I have in my kitchen. It looks a bit reddish in the promotional photo and I figured I wouldn't be able to use it in my kitchen for that reason. NO PROBLEM. It corresponds. The product itself after taking it off the label is great. I have no problem with the lid button opening the lid. Others have reported the issue there. Neither of my two containers. It includes a regular Clorox 75 tissue box with free space, meaning products with slightly larger and slightly larger tissue paper containers will work as well. It also has a round piece in the base that looks like it was designed to be centered in a smaller standard 35-40 wipes bin, but I use mine for larger quantities so this is just a guess. If you want to store your antiseptic/antibacterial wipes on your countertop or other outdoor location, this is the perfect container. Back when stores were desperate to stock every brand of antibacterial wipes they could get, I stocked up on various types, all of which had horrible lids that didn't close tightly, some were broken off and in most wipe holders were cut into the plastic which was awful and didn't light weight or work well. a plastic container without a lid that you put inside. Then pull the connected wipes off their center and slip them into the Spectrum Bin's wipes holder, which is large and easy to load and use. I could buy a third one for the living room. If they were less expensive I could get one for every room you want to have tissues on hand but don't want to see chlorox or other obtrusive tissue containers. These Spectrum Containers are more like furniture. But $50 for 2 containers is a bit much. However, it allows me to have napkins on hand in convenient containers that blend in with the decor. UPDATE: I bought two more; white and another black. And as much as I want to say I'm done buying these things, I think I need a dining room bronze to go with them best. UPDATE #2 just got bronze. It's much darker than the picture, which is better for me. When I opened the package I thought at first they would send another black one which is good. I have two. But it was "Bronze", which is a very dark metallic brown (which probably doesn't mean anything to most people); but a very dark metallic brown. Don't call it "Bronze". Although it looks good. Works better than real bronze for me. I hope I'm done buying these things.
