Works fine once installed, but no user settings or admin panel available.

I was very pleased with this Onelink Secure Connect Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi Router. With everything I've read about the superiority of mesh over other Wi-Fi systems, and with this router claiming it can cover up to 2500 square feet, that's all I could ask for if it works as advertised . . When it arrived I couldn't wait to open it up and try it out. First, it's a beautifully designed device, and it's far prettier than any router I've had before. The all white flat block looks a lot cleaner than the all black vertical blocks I'm used to. This requires you to download the Onelink Secure Connect app on your phone to install this, my first issue with that. I don't like how much of what's coming out lately requires an app to install and use the item. Not all of us have $500-$1000 phones that make setting up "anything" a pleasure and I really don't see why it doesn't have the option to set up a browser on a desktop or laptop, as does every cable/modem or router. that i have ever had. It's a lot easier for me to see things on my desktop monitor than my phone's 5 inch screen, especially when setting options for a new setup. After setting it up when I needed to connect to my network it just wouldn't work. I ended up having to call support (there was no documentation on this Onelink router). So if you have any questions there really is nowhere to turn but to call Onelink support). The support people were more than friendly, very patient and more than willing to help me get set up and even called after about 2 days to make sure everything was going well. I was offered 5 star support, something more businesses can definitely take advantage of. However, after talking to them on the phone, the router was set up and sending out signals for WiFi. So you have a complete picture of my home setup and to be honest with Onelink I have to say my house has a metal roof which is known to be one of the worst things about Wi-Fi. Fi signals around the house to deal with and something that has definitely affected the performance of this router. My house is only 1700+ square feet. ft., and Onelink should have easily covered my entire house (I figured with a metal roof I should have gotten at least a "fair" to "good" signal on my house), but it didn't. I have a Netgear WiFi Mesh Extender which I hoped I wouldn't need again but definitely did to improve the signal at both ends of my house. I was still having some issues trying to set this up, but since there is no available connection to the router via a web browser and there are very few options in the app, this wasn't possible. When I ordered this I was using a very popular branded router that had similar issues getting a signal through my house and also needed to be connected to an extender, but I had a way of connecting to the router through my Firefox browser connect to. , and I had many options that I could tweak to make the router work better in my home environment, something a Onelink router definitely needs. The app just didn't work for me. And like many others who like to tweak their cables/modems or routers, this can be a problem for many people. In the end I finally decided to just plug in the router I was using before it arrived. I didn't get a consistently good signal, which I can't entirely blame on the router due to interference in my house. Other routers I've used had similar issues, but I was able to make adjustments that helped. After several days of constantly roaming around looking for a place where it could work better, solving dead spots and other issues, it was just easier to go back to what was already working. Overall, I don't know if I can attribute all of the signal issues to the device alone, but I can point to the lack of documentation, the ability to just install the app, and the lack of a browser-accessible admin panel for customization. I can say that directly on Onelink. This Onelink Mesh WiFi Router could be a great electronic device with some tweaks, but it's not ready for me. For others living in a home with no built-in interference, like mine, and who may not need/want to make any adjustments or need the ability to customize settings, this could be the ideal router.
