So I bought it twice. I originally bought this to use the pens in my work bag. It worked well for the most part, but some of the handles were too long. I was fine with this as it wasn't the intended use. Then I decided to buy a second one for my makeup brushes when I was traveling. I was surprised to find that I had this problem even more with makeup brushes. Most of my brushes were too long for it. I have a large brush collection and only about 15% of my brushes fit in it. I've managed to find enough different makeup brushes to work when traveling, but they're not really my favorite. A bit disappointed with it as otherwise it's really cute and functional. I can open it up and put it on a hotel vanity to hold stuff while I get ready, and then leave the other half open and put cotton pads in for my skincare products, so this form factor is very convenient, but I would certainly do say you might be looking for a longer one if you're picky with your brushes.
