Great little trap but the only problem is that it can't be disassembled for cleaning. The plastic wraps around the pump area and the water stays between them. So even if you try to dry and hang it up, there's still some moisture left between the plastic and the siphon pump, which can eventually lead to mold. Since you can't take it apart to clean it, you'll have to buy a new one every few months. Not bad for a cheap siphon pump, but look for a doctor-like ball pump on blood pressure cuffs that can be cleaned and removed. You pay a little more but don't buy a new one every two months to avoid the risk of contaminating your drinks. The siphon is easy to use and ends quickly. If you're interested in a one-off or occasional use for hobbyist alcohol production, this might be for you. But if you're serious about it then you need a better siphon than this. Yes I know you can soak it in bleach and keep it sterile which you should do anyway. But instead bleach water would get in between and you would have a small amount of bleach. So you have a choice of mold or bleach. So I have one that can be opened and cleaned.
