Review on 🔌 Kidde KA-F Quick Convert Adapter for Firex Wiring Harness - 6 Pack, Facilitating Kidde Alarm Installation by John Wei

I ordered these with my new Kidde detectors when I needed to replace my old Firex wired detectors. The connection worked fine until I tried mounting the detector to a COSM-IKidde KN-COSM-IBA smoke/carbon monoxide ceiling mount combination plate. The adapter protrudes and interferes with the mounting plate. I used my dremel to remove some of the plastic but it made a huge mess and I had to replace six detectors! Poor design turned a quick task into a potentially longer task. I ended up rewiring the jumper harness using Kidde parts and returning those adapters.
