I got this as a gift from my father who has an Emco Maier lathe and a Bridgeport vertical milling machine in his garage. In fact, he chose them himself, and as for their qualities, he seems pleased with them. However, the manufacturer does a TERRIBLE JOB packaging them for shipping! You simply pop the countersinks into their little wooden block stand, place the block and its holes in the box, and then close the box. That's all. No bubble wrap, no air pockets, no styrofoam, no packaging material. As a result, the depressions are obviously loosened and broken inside the box. If you don't understand metallurgy, this failure in the box can damage the cutting tools. Yes, they are made of High Speed Steel (HSS) so the box or log won't damage them. BUT! You will hurt each other. When you push two carbides together, one or both can be damaged by the other. That's why you can't bang two hammers against each other. My father is lucky. Only one of the cutters was damaged and there is only a tiny chip on the side of one of the grooves. The cutting edges are intact so he happily uses all cutters as is. But what if others order this set and receive it only to find that some or most of them are so damaged that they are unusable because they crashed during delivery? Bone by purchasing this set of countersinks. My dad didn't list the good or bad qualities of these "holes" so I understand he might find them acceptable, not great, but not bad either. While all of my manufacturing projects are currently 3D printed, if I ever need to use these countersinks and find anything remarkable in them, I'll update this review.
