I installed a 6-7 year old iMac with 1GB memory. It's been slowing down lately as it's struggled to deal with the sheer volume of graphics that the internet can offer us today. The computer was a backup machine, so it never bothered me much, and I was a bit hesitant to update it because I'm a geek and hacking an all-in-one Mac was a little intimidating. It took less than 5 minutes to install, including shutting down and restarting, and it did a great job of speeding up an outdated iMac and adding a few more years to its lifespan.
