So far this is a great battery replacement

**update 1/5/22** Sadly, it seems like this battery has deteriorated rather quickly. I have to charge it very frequently now and it doesn't seem to like to hang around in the upper area of a charge for very long at all. The laptop itself is getting very old but I can't imagine that's causing issues with the battery itself not keeping a great charge.----I finally got irritated enough with the battery in a mac pro retina 13-inch, early 2015 laptop to get this installed. So far everything is working great. I work with computers regularly and I must say that this is the most complex battery replacement I've experienced. Usually it's as simple as removing the laptop back, unplugging the battery from the motherboard, removing about two screws, and then install the new one in in reverse order - but no, the battery for this laptop has six cells that are kind of held together by a small connector between each cell.pretty weird design, in my opinion. Anyway, that's more an observation and complaint towards apple than this particular battery replacement option. As far as this battery goes, I think the instructions are a tiny bit lax as they didn't really talk about removal of the old battery, nor did the unit include an "adhesive remover" or any rigid card to pry the old battery cells out. As mentioned, I've operated on machines before so this isn't a big deal for me. General safety precautions should be taken - wear some gloves, eyeglasses, and make sure that after taking off the laptop backing the first thing you do is unplug the battery and try to protect components from any static discharge.I googled a random video that had very clear instructions on the removal process for this model of laptop. Unplug the battery, unplug the trackpad cable, remove the three screws from each speaker assembly, and remove the one screw to the battery itself. After that I ended up grabbing a thin but somewhat rigid spackle knife and used it to pry up the battery cells without too much issue. Kind of a pain without adhesive remover but know what you're getting into (watch a video), and maybe mine wasn't too bad given that it's over five years old now. The reversal/installation was way easier. The battery comes with some backing on both sides, remove the bottom side with some small amount of sticky, then remove the plastic from the outside. Install the screw, install the trackpad cable, install the screws, then when ready plug the battery in and put the backing back on. This package comes with two screwdrivers but I didn't end up using those, I assume they'd work fine but I used my own. The laptop fired up immediately and had over 75% even after sitting for a few months. I've currently run it up to 100% and am now going to drain it to 0% over the weekend like the instructions suggest. I'm assuming all will go well or at minimum be way better than the old battery. I knocked off one star for a few of my criticisms above like the instructions providing detail on the removal and some of those supplies not included, but really for the $50 price tag I'd be pretty comfortable recommending this battery to someone comfortable enough to deal with this somewhat complex process.not really complex, just not for non-techy individuals. It's been at least a half hour now and the laptop has only dropped 4%, so I think that's a win.
