Review on Refillable Turkish Pepper Mill With 4.2 Inch Manual Crank Handle - Antique Gold Spice Grinder By Bazaar Anatolia by Timothy Jimenez

Cute grinder that's a great display piece

I was looking for a refillable pepper grinder that was more than just the plain plastic or wood types you can buy. I got this as a gift, and I am very pleased with how visually attractive it is! The antique copper and gold are both beautiful (I haven't seen the silver, but I want to!), and they would add an elegant touch to any place setting or spice cabinet. It is not a large grinder, but it holds more than enough peppercorns in the top for several regular uses, and you can store already-ground pepper in the base. The bottom is a little difficult to pull off at first, but once it's loosened, it is easy to put on and remove. The grinder comes with a little scoop that fits the pour slot perfectly. I sometimes find it's a little difficult to grind while keeping the base on properly, so it may take a bit of adjusting. The easier-to-grind spices would do wonderfully in this grinder; peppercorns are about as difficult as I would go with it.The product came in a nice little bag in a well-packaged box. I also appreciated the included instructions on how to clean out the grinder by running some rice through it. (The rice was hard to grind, but I won't regularly be using it for that!) This grinder is not meant to get moisture in it, so take care not to grind wet things or to rinse it with water. I found just grinding it empty and rubbing it with a rag lightly, then tapping it on the counter got it clean well.Overall, I am pleased with this grinder and would order it again. The biggest problem would be deciding exactly which color to get!
