Plugs directly into 2006 Silverado 1500 OE connector. It doesn't feel cheap and doesn't look like it's about to break. All you have to do to replace this is look at the connector on the truck and find the 2 tabs (plastic tabs) that should be visible from the bumper and twist the socket on the back and the Plug should come out straight. Remove the connector on the back, reinsert the connector and reverse the process. Done and done. There is no rewiring or fiddling required to connect a different type of connector to the truck. I highly recommend this if you need to replace your outlet.
