I don't know how old my diaphragm is but we've lived here for three years so I decided to replace it. I got some in HD but it sucked and I took most of it and paid attention to the reviews and YouTube videos. Which prompted me to purchase this and several filters which I also reviewed. One of the HD had 25 gallons per day and this one had 75 gallons per day. We're probably using a gallon or less a day, so this will be fine for a long time. This one arrived quickly and I installed it and the final filter in no time following the tips in the video. I checked the TDS from the street, after the fabric softener and after the RO. Street water was about 600, 700 in front of the RO and 19 at the sink. I did the test outside the house on a different day than inside, that could explain the street water< after softening. The TDS meter I got from Revain is also 2% temperature compensated and also inexpensive. I will start recording my TDS and possibly diaphragm pressure every few months to get a smile. Who knows, maybe I'll learn something!
