Review on πŸ”€ A15033100Ux0674 Crossover Filters: Achieving Optimal Frequency Division by Byron Forman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

nice gesture. On devices that I received at least.

They came first with a circuit that felt good. On the devices I've at least received, the 2.6 mH inductance was actually only 1.3 mH. I discovered this after sweeping the frequency with a function generator, 4 channel oscilloscope, etc. Finally, I simply unsoldered the inductance and measured it with a B&K LCR meter. After rewinding the inductance by 2.6 mH I now get a crossover from the woofer to the middle as indicated. Out of the box it cuts closer to 1500Hz. I suspect the inductor was cheaper just to save money on magnet wire. Oh, I also rewound the 18 AWG wire to handle some more power. So it's ok, but you may not get what you think.

Pros
  • Includes: 2 x Crossover Filter Frequency Divider; Rated power: 180W
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
