The extra desktop space is great. Its height is 1440 pixels, so if you're coming from a 1050 pixel or 1080 pixel monitor, the text will be smaller. However, you can fix this when scaling. The monitor is about 2 feet from my face and the small text on the very edges is really small. Now I understand why there are curved monitors. It's ok, any monitor larger than 34 inches, I think a curved monitor would be the best choice.
