Faucets look great new and can be submerged in fresh water but are not designed or rated for use in salt water. I know from experience that soft vinyl insulation will absorb water and corrode untinned strands. Lamps must be of pre-tinned wire with rigid plastic insulation for use in salt water. I covered the wires and connections with silicone rubber to extend life. Update: Demoted as a user. As you can see in the picture above these lights are not submersible as there is water behind the lens. My boat trailer is in the water for three minutes to unload and three minutes to load, and as I do so, the headlights submerge and fill with water. The light is dim, the water inside. Trailer lights that are not submerged in water work fine.
