The kit contains several tools that will be useful for opening mobile phones and game consoles. The magnetizer feels comfortable. You just run a screwdriver through it and it will be magnetized. Really cool inclusion. The mat itself really works in terms of heat resistance. I set the heat gun to 900F and kept it close. The mat actually rose from the surface I was working on and all that happened was a slight surface warp and the flux seeping onto it staining the mat. That is all, except that the carpet is still intact and ready for further use. I checked mine so you don't have to. The table below felt a little warm, but not hot and not burned at all. Working with a heat gun will definitely protect the surface you are working on. Also, it is a great interface for repairing your devices. It has screw slots secured with a magnetic strip. This is the mat I used to fix the FPC connector for Nintendo Switch and I really enjoyed working with this mat. I highly recommend this set!
