This machine seems to work fine. I mean I'm not a doctor and I don't have an actual EKG machine to compare but the readings appear accurate to me when I go to the doctor from what I know. Initially, charging took a long time, but not critical. The most important thing is how you rest in the pose - you need to make sure that the left is on the left and the right is on the right. The directions state that you'll get a stronger reading if you put your chest or a toe against a foot - but even so, the three paths felt the same to me. Actually there are 4 ways to get readings. First - you put it on the table and put two fingers on the knots (one from each hand). Two - you hold your hand and touch the knots with two fingers (one from each hand). You use your right hand/finger and (specifically) touch another knot on your left foot. And fourth, you can hold the device in the middle of your chest - for under-the-chest reading. You don't have to have the app to get the readings, but the app will show you all the readings and save them on your phone. But simply - without the app - you can see your heart rate and the device will tell you if you have "normal" readings. If you have an app, the cool thing is you don't have to turn it on to read it. The next time you open the app, the data will be downloaded from the machine. It's cool because I hate using my phone and apps all the time. This machine is easy to use and I think even my mother can use the machine easily. If you found my review helpful, why not click "helpful"? Button. Thanks very much! Have a nice day! :)
