I bought this as an alternative to waiting for Dorman 904-229 to arrive. I installed it in FICM and the truck worked great. I drove the car about 50 km in 2 days. Suddenly it seemed to me that someone turned off 4 cylinders out of 8. I had to hobble back to the store and luckily I made it. I took out the FICM and found a few burned spots on the control module. Replaced this unit as soon as Dorman came out and have had no problems since. It could be just me, and it could be a coincidence, but I'm having no luck with this device.
