This is the correct part. Many people say splines are useless. On the 2002 Chevy Silverado, wedges reduce play. I had to remove the knot so you can "fit" the splines. In other words, incl. down until it slides easily into the wave. The shaft is plastic and had the memory of the old actuator (matching). It was not easy to return the assembly. Others have warned against this, and they are right. But it will only go one way. Look good before you take it off. That is hard. I'm right-handed, knelt in front of the door and looked up to put it back together. It didn't help my back.
