Does what it's supposed to do after conversion

Does what it's supposed to. As stated in another review, and this was the case for me, use a drill and drill out the fine teeth. I found mine wouldn't fit on the shaft without this. I grabbed the slotted side with pliers to prevent it from being twisted by the drill bit. As a supplement I bought a micro bit ratchet and along with a set of magnetic bits from a cheap tool store pulled the old one out and the new one was there like a bathing suit in no time. Be sure to watch a YouTube video about…

Pros
  • Vehicle was tested on vehicle for proper installation and operation
Cons

Note mounting location prior to removal

This is the correct part. Many people say splines are useless. On the 2002 Chevy Silverado, wedges reduce play. I had to remove the knot so you can "fit" the splines. In other words, incl. down until it slides easily into the wave. The shaft is plastic and had the memory of the old actuator (matching). It was not easy to return the assembly. Others have warned against this, and they are right. But it will only go one way. Look good before you take it off. That is hard. I'm right-handed, knelt…

Works perfectly. After I put the right part in.

INITIAL VERIFICATION: Appeared to be about the same quality as the OEM engine I pulled from my 2000 Silverado Z71 truck and it seems he works fine, but BACK. . I took off 2 stars because (at least for me) I have to crank my regulator to full power to get cool air and vice versa. PITA, but I'll deal with that for now because I don't want to buy another one. EDIT: So I changed my rating to 5 stars; as the user kindly pointed out in the comments, I ordered the wrong part. In fact, I ordered both…

Delicate little part

This unit is quite different from the genuine GM part. On the one hand, the case appears to be made of thinner plastic, and it snaps in rather than screws. Second, the internal gears appear to be made out of a different type of plastic, but I can't tell if that's a negative or a positive. I'm hoping for a positive result in the sense that the gears don't break or crack as is common with genuine parts. Finally, and most importantly to me, the metal shaft sleeve is a different size and has…

Pros
