It does what it was designed to do.
No, it won't deter the most ambitious thief, but it does what it's supposed to do - and deters the average laptop copycat. However, for some reason the alignment marker for the combo seems to be on the opposite side of expectation, which can make unlocking a bit fiddly. It's easy enough to set up your own combination. . . if you read the instructions carefully. A little harder if you don't. In general I am satisfied with the purchase.
