I got one from AWD so mine was used. Nothing registered at first, it stayed at 0.0 even after several on/off cycles. 0.03 is the street average, so I knew it wasn't working properly. I started playing around with buttons and this one and eventually it started working fine. I turned off the power several times and it kept working. I used it to inspect a home with laminate floors as we couldn't find anyone in our area to do this for us. I was confident in the accuracy as this is a professional quality meter. The manual clearly explains what the buttons do, but I wish it showed standard testing procedures.
