Review on Knipex Tools 10 98 I220 by James Roper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price, overall good pliers with one downside.

I don't usually write reviews but these pliers were interesting so I thought I'd write a comment. Firstly, being able to buy any type of Knipex brand pliers at this price point is quite amazing. They look like any other Knipex tool you would use and they are way too high quality and it seems like you can really abuse them if you want to. In some situations there is a downside. When fitted with large CV shoes with large clamps (the suspension shoes on my Tacoma 13 in my experience) they lack the leverage to be as effective as possible unless you have very, very strong hands. I have to use separate multi-tooth pliers to begin the initial tightening of the large OEM trunk clamps (usually the outer hinges on trucks and SUVs). However, cheaper Chinese clamps and lower quality OEM clamps are no problem with these pliers. This is something to note I would like a few inches more length to get a little more leverage although it would make the pliers a little clumsy give it a high rating just be aware of the possible downsides if you Plan to use them in heavier conditions. They're probably perfect if you only work on cars.
