I have an iphone 6 plus in a leather case and it fits very well in the holder without having to take it out of the case. The mount fits my Neewer ring light perfectly. Instructions are not required, it's a breeze. Adjustable to any position thanks to the mini ball mount. I tried not to buy this and used other devices like a different tripod to mount my phone but they were too bulky. have it and love it If you have a ring light, this is a great way to mount your phone, no question.
