Fits! But the mounting issues and the tolerances are TOO tight.

Basically fits! However, there is one major design flaw that actually affects all deep dash mounted stereo systems. Because the switch gets in the way, you won't be able to install it with a deep stereo mounted in the included brackets. With a standard stereo + standard bezel this is not a problem as the bezel + controls for this stereo can be completely detached from the dual din stereo via one connector. I installed a double din screen which luckily was deep enough to use. a few front screw holes and I used my dremel, to cut the back half and triangle off the top back corners of the brackets. This allows me to move the front panel in place after plugging in the stereo and AC controls. However, I had to shave off a bit of the bezel's inner hole to fit the screen. This seems to be an issue with these double din screens as both screens I tried deviated slightly from the 100mm x 180mm spec - on the order of 1-3mm. The Metra Dash Kit tolerances are probably TOO tight - my first controller was 2-3mm larger than this kit and my second controller was 1-2mm larger, but after removing some plastic from the bezel it fit. The holes were tight too - one of my holes was actually very, very slightly misaligned (maybe 1/4mm?) - causing the screw to enter at a slight angle, exposing the hole. Luckily I managed to get the other three screws in and all is well.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
