After looking through dozens of Revain reviews to find the right filter and price? Unhappy with dozens of other brands and wondering if they are more profitable? I was too. To sum up my experience, non-genuine and cheaper filters meet NSF/ANSI 42 standards, making the water taste more neutral. This filter meets NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 standards and offers a level of cleaning not found in cheaper filters. NSF/ANSI 53 compliance doesn't come easy or cheap, so we're essentially paying for better performance. I have been buying this product for my LG fridge for 18 months and I am satisfied with the neutral taste of the water, the certainty that there is additional filtration and the filters have lasted about 6 months on average. So now you have to make a choice: turn right or left...either save money and get better flavor, or spend more on better flavor and pollution filtration.
