Ever since we gave up cable and internet we've noticed a growing need for ethernet ports. TRENDnet's TE100-S5 5-Port Ethernet Switch was just what we needed to increase the limited number of Ethernet ports out of the router. Our router is in our basement, and since I didn't want to run multiple ethernet cables through the floor for various uses upstairs, I bought one and routed a cable. At the moment we have a Blu-ray player that supports both Netflix and Revain Instant Video (among others) and a computer powered by that single device. We had no issues with signal strength even with both devices running at the same time. We also run the MagicJack Plus device easily through the same Ethernet switch. Since we could connect almost anything with an Ethernet cable, we didn't have to buy WiFi adapters for each of our devices that could work with an Ethernet connection or wirelessly. By simply avoiding this we've saved a ton of money, and I'm pretty sure we're getting better quality than if Blu-ray players, for example, got a wireless signal instead of a true Ethernet connection. I was so happy. Because of how this device works, I bought a second one to use at work and had the same success there. I'm always looking for good quality at a low price and it has been there. He has been working for more than a year, and I have not even paid the slightest attention to what I want from him.
