I have been raising and transporting rescue dogs for a few months. I bought a new Lincoln Corsair last month (justifying it because it fit in the box better than my previous truck) and quickly realized that the carpeted bed wasn't the best surface for transporting injured and/or terrified people animals is. I reviewed dozens of cargo covers before settling on this one because it was the perfect size and front seat ventilation to give me some protection for my seat backs and also allow me to communicate with my charges during transit. The dog in these photos was a stray who had been hit by a car. I carried her loosely on my back because she wouldn't fit in the box and she was already feeling very uncomfortable. She peed on herself when we got her in the car and again when I followed her to the vet clinic. Don't worry, it shone like a polished surface. In addition, the princess felt comfortable on the journey, because she was soft and gave her places to "hold onโ. Another innocent tramp was safely delivered and my new toy was not damaged. I also have to say that the thing is heavier than I expected at best. Imagine the weight of the vests they put on you for X-rays - not quite, but it feels like you're putting them in a car.
